Monthly Section 3 Council Meeting

In person or via Zoom. The meeting will be held in the Library on the ground floor of CCUMC.  Residents have been sent the meeting ID and passcode via email if you prefer to attend via Zoom. The meeting is open to all. (Interested members of the public are invited to contact the Village Manager for the meeting link and passcode: villagemanager@chevychasesection3.org)

Please note, the Church has new access protocols and a new security system in place so those coming in person must text the Village Manager so that we can let you in at the parking lot door: 301-656-9117.

1 - Approval of the minutes from the February meeting as published in the March newsletter

2 - Buildings & Roads

  • Permits issued since the last meeting & status report on ongoing projects
  • Variance Request by the Leleck family for 3602 Shepherd St.
  • Status of WSSC Variance appeal
  • Park sodding has begun

3 - Financial & Administrative

  • Review and discussion of financial statements 
  • Discussion of proposed FY 24-25 Budget
  • Vote to increase current fiscal year line-item for Street Sign expenditures

4 - Community & Social

  • Silver & Sons food truck Thursday night
  • Everybody’s Irish Event Sunday rain or shine
  • Easter Egg Hunt Sunday, May 24
  • Date for Spring Fun Day—Sunday April 28th?
  • Shred Event May 5th?
