Monthly Section 3 Council Meeting

In person or via Zoom. The meeting will be held in the Library on the ground floor of CCUMC.  Residents have been sent the meeting ID and passcode via email if you prefer to attend via Zoom. The meeting is open to all. (Interested members of the public are invited to contact the Village Manager for the meeting link and passcode: villagemanager@chevychasesection3.org).

Our entire State delegation, Sen. Jeff Waldstreicher, Representatives Emily Shetty, Aaron Kaufman and Jarad Solomon are coming to our June Council Meeting via Zoom to talk to us about the last legislative session and answer your questions, hear your concerns.

They will be first on the Agenda and we hope you will join us and think about issues of concern to you at the state level. We'd like this to be a lively interchange.

Of note are bills that passed in the most recent session ending in April: Gun Control laws that limit locations where one can legally carry a gun in Maryland and laws around the new recreational cannabis legislation and how that might affect our children.

Please join us for this unique and unprecedented opportunity to talk directly to our District 18 delegation.

4 - Financial & Administrative

  • Council questions or comments on financial statements
  • Council discussion of Budget Compost Crew contractual amendment to raise costs and therefore modify FY 24 budget

5 - Community & Social
