With the passing of long-time Council member Bill Brownlee, the Vice-Chair position of the Council is vacant. Under the Section 3 Charter, in the event of a vacancy the Council is authorized to appoint by majority vote a Section 3 resident to fill that vacancy until the next regularly scheduled election, which in this case will be in May 2021.  At the January meeting, the Council will consider the appointment of Larry Lanpher of 3614 Spring St. to fill the open Vice Chair seat until the next election

The Council will also be appointing a full slate for our standing Ethics Commission members as several members have moved away. Although the Commission has rarely been called upon we want to have them available if we need them. The new members will be Bill Rowan of Shepherd St. and Meredith Miller of Raymond St. They will join long-standing member Alan Berkley of Raymond St.
