Monthly Section 3 Council Meeting

In person or via Zoom. The meeting will be held in the Library on the ground floor of CCUMC.  Residents have been sent the meeting ID and passcode via email if you prefer to attend via Zoom. The meeting is open to all. (Interested members of the public are invited to contact the Village Manager for the meeting link and passcode: villagemanager@chevychasesection3.org).

Please note, the Church has new access protocols and a new security system in place so those coming in person will have to call the Village Manager so that we can let you in: 301-656-9117.

1 - Approval of the minutes from the November meeting as published in the December newsletter

2 - Buildings & Roads

  • Permits issued since the last meeting
  • Discussion of possible gas powered leaf blower legislation 
  • Montgomery County Dept. of Transportation Leland St. access hearing and proposed restrictions - deadline for comments Jan. 5
  • Technical Amendment to state law regarding municipalities' ability to regulate setbacks, height and massing of multifamily dwellings, in addition to single family residences 
  • Status of Raymond St. storm drain project--WSSC
  • 16 street trees to be planted in December

3 - Financial & Administrative

  • Review and discussion of financial statements 

4 - Community & Social

  • Dec. 14 Food Truck 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Dec. 17 Santa Tour slated: 12:30 to 3:00 p.m.
  • January drive for detergents, feminine hygiene product donations 
  • Thanks to Sarah Stephens and crew for Gazebo Park decorations
